Mazuri® Mini Bird Diet

Mazuri® Mini Bird Diet is a complete bird food for birds like parakeets, finches, canaries, and other small birds. This nutritionally complete diet is for non-breeding birds without needing additional supplements. The particles' small, uniform size is easy to eat and helps prevent food sorting. This bird food contains ground flaxseed, which provides omega-3 fatty acid to support your bird's health. It also contains vitamin E, which is an important antioxidant for birds. This bird food does not contain any added colors or artificial flavors.

FEEDING DIRECTIONS

• Feed free choice to non-breeding birds and provide fresh food daily.
  
• A ½ oz (15 g) bird will typically eat 2 tsp (3.5 g) per day, while a 2 oz. (57 g) bird may consume approximately 5 tsp (8.4 g) per day.
  
• Fresh fruits, vegetables, and seeds may be provided, but at no more than 20% of the total diet.
  
• To switch birds from seeds (or their current diet) to this diet, changeover gradually. Start with 90% seed (or current diet) and 10% Mazuri®bird diet. On each succeeding day, reduce the amount of seeds by 10% while increasing the amount of the Mazuri® bird diet by 10%. On the 10th day, the diet should consist only of Mazuri® bird diet. Do not overfeed during this transition time.

1. Monitor the bird’s weight and behavior carefully during the conversion period and make sure it is eating the new diet. Be especially attentive during the 10th to 12th day. If the bird is losing weight, or if the bird is not consuming the product, offer the bird a mix of 50% seed and 50% Mazuri® bird diet and restart the conversion process from this point.
2. If the bird is not eating, the excreta color will become dark green, and the volume will decrease. If the bird is consuming the bird diet, the excreta will be a brownish-green color.
   

• Always provide plenty of fresh, clean water. Thoroughly wash feed and water bowls on a regular basis. It is always good practice to washhands thoroughly after feeding and/or handling animals.
  
• This diet is not for human consumption.

Storage Conditions
For best results, reseal the bag between uses or store contents of open paper sack in container with sealing lid. Store in a cool (75⁰F/24⁰C or colder), dry (approximately 50% RH) location free from rodents and insects. Do not offer moldy or insect-infested feed to animals as it may result in illness, performance loss or death. Freezing will not harm the diet and may extend freshness. Use within 1 year of bag manufacturing or "Best if Used By" date.
